John McNair is a REALTOR® and managing broker for Leverage Realty Consulting Group; a unique real estate brokerage in the South Texas and San Antonio area. John is a 6th generation area resident with a wealth of market knowledge in residential, commercial and real estate development.

John is a skilled negotiator, marketer and communicator proficient in dealing with complex transactions, real estate tax strategies and investment portfolios.

Aside from being Founder and Principal at Leverage Realty Consulting Group in San Antonio, John is a member of the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), holds the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation (CLHMS) and the Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS) designation. John is also a licensed Property Tax Consultant. He is a member of The San Antonio Board of Realtors, Uvalde Board of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.

Aside from traditional commercial real estate transactions, John specializes in large grid connected infrastructure projects from conception to commissioning. In 2008, John was on the founding team of Hill Country Wind Power (HCWP), a developer of utility scale wind farm projects. HCWP developed several hundred megawatts of generation through its partnership with Clearway Energy (NYSE: CWEN), most recently the Mesquite Star Wind Farm near Sweetwater, TX. Additionally, John has spearheaded the development of over 1 GW+ of solar in ERCOT, along with 1.5 GW+ of collocated and standalone energy storage. Since 2020, John has been integral in the design, development and financing of multiple energy campus projects in Texas that revolve around hyperscale data center projects and their unique power and land requirements. John’s expertise led to the creation of Texas Data Center Realty, a boutique brokerage that specializes in representing landowners involved in data center transactions, and match-making hyperscale data centers together with existing suitable generation projects.  

An Eagle Scout with a passion for outdoor and wildlife stewardship, John has been active in land and water conservation efforts throughout the Texas Hill Country, most notably as a landowner participant for the City of San Antonio Edwards Aquifer Protection Program. John is a recipient of the Texas Department of Agriculture Family Land Heritage Award and actively manages his family ranch in northeast Uvalde County near the Frio River.
